What Changes Made in the Caravan Should Be Registered in the Permit?

In order for the renovations made in the caravan to gain legal status and pass the traffic inspection without issues, technical changes must be registered in the permit. Especially modifications that change the external dimensions of the vehicle, such as roof raises, adding or removing windows, and changes in the number of seats, definitely require project approval. Additionally, installations in the interior, such as kitchen areas, bed arrangements, and storage units, must be officially recorded as they change the vehicle type to "M1-Special Purpose Motorhome." Furthermore, the compliance of additions that affect the total weight of the vehicle, such as solar panel systems, water tanks, and heating units (Webasto, etc.), must be checked against TSE standards. After these renovations, obtaining TSE approval for the project drawn by authorized engineers and subsequently registering it through a notary ensures the fulfillment of legal responsibilities and prevents potential loss of rights in insurance processes. Changes made without a project can be considered a serious fault and may lead to the vehicle being banned from traffic.
