About Bilecik

The birthplace of the Ottoman state, Bilecik has both historical weight and a quiet nature. Söğüt, considered the first Ottoman capital, and the tomb of Şeyh Edebali host annual commemorations, while the İnhisar and Sakarya River valley offer nature routes and the Pelitözü pond is a peaceful camping stop. Bilecik baklava and marble are its emblems.
