I am considering installing a solar panel on my caravan, but I am unsure about the best location for installation. In which position should I mount the panels to achieve maximum energy efficiency?

The best place to install a solar panel in your caravan is usually the roof. The roof allows the panels to receive direct sunlight. Adjusting the panels towards the sun during installation, especially if you are making long trips, will enable you to obtain more energy. I did this in my own caravan and I am quite satisfied.
Another point to pay attention to when installing the solar panel is whether the roof of your caravan is flat or slightly sloped. If your roof does not provide enough space, you can also mount the panels in areas like the roof rack. A caravanner at Mayko Bungalov was using this method and was achieving quite successful results.
Some campers prefer flexible solar panels because they fit better on the roof of the caravan and reduce wind resistance. However, aluminum framed panels are generally more durable.
