Located in the rural area of Muğla, Turnalı Bungalow is a hidden paradise of nature in the Aegean, situated on the stunning coastline of Gökova Bay. The facility is approximately 240 kilometers and 3 hours (by car) from Izmir via the Aydın-Muğla highway, offering easy access to major cities. For nature lovers coming from Istanbul, the distance is about 710 kilometers, and the journey takes 7.5 - 8 hours (by car), while guests following the route from Antalya to Korkuteli need to complete the approximately 330 kilometers in 4 - 4.5 hours (by car).
The facility is located in a peaceful area near Turnalı Cove in the village of Kıran, which is connected to the Menteşe district, rather than in a crowded city center. The distance to Muğla center is on average 40-45 kilometers due to mountain roads and sharp turns. Since public transportation options are limited in this coastal-rural structure, using a personal or rental vehicle is almost essential. Guests arriving without a car can hire a taxi from Muğla Bus Station or Akyaka for the most hassle-free logistics. Despite being narrow and winding, the roads have a smooth asphalt surface.
Offering a boutique forest retreat that compensates for the shortcomings of camping culture, Turnalı Bungalow combines olive trees and the scent of the sea. Among the most appreciated features by guests is the presence of a private clean bathroom and uninterrupted hot water infrastructure in the bungalows. Buildings with air conditioning and strong insulation provide safe accommodation against seasonal changes. The main reason for preference is that guests can use their designated natural wooden verandas for barbecuing without disturbing the surroundings.
However, some practical risks associated with staying in a pristine cove should not be forgotten. In this isolated area, right in the heart of nature, it should be noted that the warmth can suddenly drop in the evenings due to coastal breezes, and encountering bugs and insects in the open air is common. Additionally, steep slopes, winding coastal roads, and the possibility of weak phone signals in some areas should be kept in mind when coming to the facility with realistic expectations.
