Kızılırmak Delta Stork Forest is a unique natural area located in the Doğanca neighborhood of Bafra, Samsun, within the borders of the Kızılırmak Delta Bird Paradise. This special area is known as the final destination for thousands of storks that migrate every year. In the forest, which spans approximately 20 acres, there are more than 40 stork nests. In early March, after a 7,000-kilometer journey from Africa, the storks arrive here. First, the male storks come and repair their nests, followed by the female storks who lay eggs and raise their chicks.
The facility offers a peaceful camping experience in harmony with nature. The campsite provides tent accommodation and offers facilities where visitors can meet their basic needs. Toilets, shower, water, wifi, and restaurant are among the amenities designed to ensure the comfort of campers. Additionally, there are parking facilities available for guests arriving with vehicles.
Kızılırmak Delta Stork Forest is truly a paradise for nature lovers. It provides an ideal observation point for those who wish to witness the migration and breeding processes of the storks. The area, filled with natural beauties that are like a breath of fresh air for Bafra, also offers an experience aimed at increasing environmental awareness among visitors.
