Located at the junction of the Aegean and Mediterranean, Karacasöğüt Forest Area is a piece of Muğla's world-famous nature, comfortably distanced from major cities thanks to developed transportation networks. The distance between the facility and Izmir is approximately 225 kilometers, and the average travel time by car on the highway and divided state roads is 2.5 - 3 hours (by passenger vehicle). For nature lovers coming from Istanbul, the distance is estimated to be around 660 kilometers via the Osmangazi Bridge route, and this journey takes about 7 - 7.5 hours (by passenger vehicle). For those wishing to reach the region from Ankara, following the Afyonkarahisar and Denizli route, the distance is approximately 610 kilometers, and the travel time averages 7 - 8 hours (by passenger vehicle).
The facility is located about 50 kilometers from the center of Muğla and approximately 25-30 kilometers from the nearest district, Marmaris, nestled in the heart of a pristine bay covered with pine trees of the Gökova Gulf. Due to the rural coastal structure of the region, using a personal or rental vehicle for transportation is almost essential. Since there is no regular public transportation, it is most convenient for guests without a car to take a taxi from Marmaris Bus Station.
Unlike primitive tent conditions, the facility offers guests a boutique forest retreat with clean indoor bathrooms and uninterrupted hot water infrastructure. In addition to living spaces with strong insulation, the ability for guests to light a barbecue fire on their own natural wooden verandas without disturbing the surroundings is a major reason for preference. However, being prepared for the real natural conditions such as the sea humidity combined with the forest night chill, the movement of insects like mosquitoes and beetles, and occasional weak phone signals will enhance the holiday experience to the highest level.
