GSB Mehmet Akif Ersoy Youth Camp is located in the Silifke district of Mersin, on the Mediterranean coastal region. When examining the distance to major cities; Antalya is approximately 350 km away (about 6-7 hours by car), the capital Ankara is 520 km away (about 7 hours by car), Istanbul is 960 km away (about 12-13 hours by car), and Eskişehir is 650 km away. Although the camp area is strategically located for young people coming from Central Anatolia and the Mediterranean region, it requires a long road trip for those coming from distant cities like Istanbul.
GSB Mehmet Akif Ersoy Youth Camp is approximately 100 km from Mersin city center and only 15-20 km from Silifke town center. Access to the facility, located in the Atayurt and Atakent regions, is provided via the Mersin-Antalya coastal road (D400). The area can be easily reached by private vehicles, and it is also possible to get close to the facility using buses or local minibus lines (such as Silifke-Koop) departing from the bus stations in Mersin and Silifke.
According to feedback from previous guests and information about the facility, GSB Mehmet Akif Ersoy Youth Camp offers basic accommodation and activity options. Rooms generally accommodate 4 people, and each room has its own shower and toilet facilities. However, some feedback from previous guests regarding the maintenance of the facility has raised complaints; the condition of the shower heads and cleaning standards have been criticized by some users.
