Gandalf Caravan Park is located in Kuşadası, one of the prominent tourism centers of Aydın, at the center of developed transportation networks. The facility is 90 km from İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport (approximately 1 hour 15 minutes by car), 420 km from Bursa (approximately 4.5 hours by car), and 560 km from Istanbul (approximately 5.5 - 6 hours by car). This strategic location makes the region an ideal and comfortable weekend getaway from major cities.
The facility is not located in the bustling town center; it is situated in the rural area of Davutlar, near the Dilek Peninsula Büyük Menderes Delta National Park. The campsite, located 15-20 kilometers away from the center of Kuşadası, is accessible via smooth asphalt roads that pass through olive groves. Although city minibus lines are within walking distance, using a personal or rental vehicle is a logistical necessity to comfortably explore the campsite and surrounding coves. The regional roads are smooth and quite suitable for standard vehicles and caravan towing.
This new establishment on map platforms stands out as a "Boutique Beach Retreat" that fills the gaps in caravan culture. Unlike the challenges of wild camping, the facility offers continuous clean water, strong electricity connections for each parcel, and regular hot water in common areas. The area, shaded by olive trees, cools down in the evenings with refreshing breezes. Additionally, guests are allowed to light grills and barbecue fires in their own living spaces, provided they do not disturb the surroundings.
However, practical challenges posed by natural conditions should be understood before making a reservation. Due to its location at sea level, one should be prepared for the humid Aegean coolness that can be overwhelming on summer nights, and protective sprays against mosquitoes and flies should definitely be kept on hand. Finally, due to the high season's intensity, the economical use of infrastructure resources and compliance with the national park ecosystem is expected.
